Vardhman Textiles Shares Fall 2% After 5% Drop in Q2 Consolidated Net Profit

Mumbai, October 24 (Udaipur Kiran) – Shares of Vardhman Textiles slipped over 2% in Thursday’s trade after the company reported a 5% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2FY26).

At 11:00 a.m., the stock was trading at Rs. 428.85, down Rs. 8.85 or 2.02% from its previous close of Rs. 437.70 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 429.90 and touched an intraday high of Rs. 431.75 and a low of Rs. 418.60. Around 88,489 shares changed hands during the session.

The BSE ‘A’ group stock, with a face value of Rs. 2, has recorded a 52-week high of Rs. 563.65 (December 16, 2024) and a 52-week low of Rs. 362.60 (March 4, 2025). Over the past week, the stock has traded between Rs. 453.90 and Rs. 399.60. The company’s market capitalization currently stands at Rs. 12,452.68 crore.

Promoters hold 64.21% of the company’s shares, while institutional and non-institutional investors hold 22.19% and 13.61%, respectively.

In its latest financial results, Vardhman Textiles reported a 13.77% decline in standalone net profit at Rs. 189.39 crore for Q2FY26, compared to Rs. 219.64 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s total income for the quarter fell 3.77% to Rs. 2,468.13 crore, down from Rs. 2,564.88 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

On a consolidated basis, net profit stood at Rs. 187.03 crore, down 4.98% from Rs. 196.84 crore a year ago, while total income dropped 2.60% to Rs. 2,516.88 crore from Rs. 2,583.99 crore in Q2FY25.
