New Delhi, March 6: Anuj Agnihotri has secured the top position in the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, achieving All India Rank One. Anuj, who graduated with an MBBS from AIIMS, Jodhpur, chose medical science as his optional subject, which contributed to his success in the UPSC examination.
Rajeshwari Suve M, who secured the second rank, is an engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. Akansh Dhul, a graduate from Delhi University with a B.Com degree, achieved the third rank by selecting commerce and accounting as his optional subject.
The final results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 were announced on Friday. Raghav Jhunjhunwala, a student of economics from Delhi University, secured the fourth rank, while Eshan Bhatnagar, also from Delhi University, achieved the fifth rank with sociology as his optional subject.
Among the top 25 candidates, there are 11 women and 14 men, with educational backgrounds from prestigious institutions such as IITs, NLUs, AIIMS, DTU, Anna University, and Mumbai University, covering fields like engineering, humanities, science, commerce, law, medical science, and communication.
Notably, the top 25 successful candidates selected optional subjects such as chemistry, anthropology, medical science, commerce and accounting, economics, electrical engineering, history, mathematics, philosophy, political science, international relations, public administration, and sociology for their written examinations.
Among the recommended candidates, 42 individuals with disabilities were included, comprising 10 with orthopedic disabilities, 14 visually impaired, 9 hearing impaired, and 9 with multiple disabilities. The preliminary examination for the 2025 Civil Services was conducted on May 25, 2025, with a total of 937,876 candidates applying, out of which 576,793 appeared for the exam.
In the main written examination held in August 2025, a total of 14,161 candidates were eligible, with 2,736 reaching the interview stage. The commission has recommended a total of 958 candidates for various services this year, including 659 men and 299 women. Among the final successful candidates, one woman and four men are included in the top five.
