Pratapgarh, August 9: Pallavi Patel, leader of the Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) and MLA from Sirathu, met with a survivor of a house collapse incident in Pratapgarh on Sunday, assuring him of all possible assistance.
Speaking to reporters, she expressed her sorrow over the tragic event that claimed an entire family in an instant. “The lone son who survived is not in a condition to talk in detail. Other family members informed us that they have received compensation from the administration. The family has requested a job, and I will strive to ensure they receive relief,” she stated.
Regarding the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2027, Pallavi Patel remarked, “The 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will neither follow the West Bengal model nor the Bihar model. Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in the country and opens a direct route to the national capital, Delhi. Therefore, this time, we will create history by doing something new.”
Commenting on Rahul Gandhi’s program in Prayagraj, she emphasized that the country’s democracy empowers citizens to voice their concerns. “The Leader of Opposition cannot be stopped from reaching out across the nation. Those in power should engage with the movement and address the pressing questions while fulfilling their responsibilities,” she added.
On the Women’s Reservation Bill, Pallavi Patel stated, “If the Women’s Reservation Bill has passed in this country, the opposition has played a significant role in it. The bill has been passed and has become law. Now, it is just a matter of announcing when women will receive their rights. The reservation provided under the Constitution is a means to uplift those who have been marginalized.”
Responding to former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s remarks about misleading students, she said, “If it was so easy to mislead the youth of India, then why couldn’t the BJP do it? The reality is that the youth and Gen-Z of any country cannot be misled. If they are aware enough to vote, they are also conscious of their present and future.”
