
Google Chrome users in the UAE are urged to upgrade to the latest version of the free web browser as the tech giant recently released security updates to address vulnerabilities in the desktop version of the free web browser.
The UAE Cyber Security Council on Friday advised Chrome users to update their devices’ browsers to the latest version from Google.
If these vulnerabilities are ignored, hackers can gain access to devices, steal data, or run malicious code on someone’s computer.
The Security Council encouraged users to share this information with various organizations and partners.
On July 15, UAE companies were asked to update their systems, monitor threats and protect their data against growing cyber threats.
By the third quarter of 2023, 56 percent of companies and organizations experienced a data breach.
