
Udaipur : Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Mr. Lazare Eloundou, along with Mrs. Elizabeth Christine Guimaraes, visited the historic sites and heritage of Udaipur.
During their tour, they visited the Rai Angan, Mor Chowk, Badi Mahal, and the Silver Gallery of the Zenana Mahal in the City Palace. They were also greatly impressed by the Jag Mandir, Crystal Gallery, and Jagdish Temple. In the visitor’s book, Mr. Lazare Eloundou wrote a message expressing that every visitor leaves with an astonishing and unexpected impression. He mentioned that anyone who visits is inspired by the proud history of Udaipur, made possible by the royal family of Udaipur.
On this occasion, the Chief Executive Officer of Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Dr. Mayank Gupta, warmly welcomed the guests and acquainted them with the historical significance of the Udaipur City Palace heritage. Coordinator Govind Singh Meena from ASI Jodhpur, Rajasthan, accompanied the guests. This visit was a matter of pride not only for the City Palace but for the entire Udaipur and Mewar region, giving global recognition to the city’s historical heritage.
