Udaipur’s Sen Community Celebrates 725th Birth Anniversary of Saint Shiromani Sen Maharaj with Grand Procession

Thousands Participate in Vibrant Rally and Cultural Program Organized by the Sen Community

Udaipur:
The Sen community of Udaipur celebrated the 725th birth anniversary of Saint Shiromani Sen Maharaj with great enthusiasm and devotion. The multi-day celebrations, organized at the Sen Temple located in Dhan Mandi, included rituals, worship ceremonies, and a grand vehicle rally that added vibrancy to the city’s streets.

According to Advocate Omprakash Barbar, President of the Sen community, the rally commenced from Town Hall and passed through prominent locations such as Surajpole, Udiapole, Gulab Bagh Road, Bapu Bazaar, and Delhi Gate, before culminating back at Town Hall.

Enthusiastic Participation in the Grand Rally

The rally witnessed participation from:

  • Over 500 two-wheelers

  • Three open jeeps accompanied by a DJ truck

  • Thousands of men, women, and youth from the community

Men adorned saffron turbans and white kurta-pajamas, while women wore saffron turbans and red dupattas, adding colorful charm to the event. Throughout the rally, spirited dancing and devotional music created a festive atmosphere.

Cultural Program at Sukhadia Rangmanch

After the rally, a main cultural event was held at Sukhadia Rangmanch, organized by the Udaipur Municipal Corporation. The program was presided over by Amrit Ji Sen, with Mahant Indradev Das as the chief guest and Nirmala Sharma as the special guest.

The program began with a Ganesh Vandana, Aarti, and floral tributes to Saint Shiromani Sen Maharaj. Advocate Dr. Omprakash Barbar delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of unity and cultural pride within the community.

During the event:

  • 65 blood donors and several philanthropists (Bhamashahs) were honored with certificates and mementos.

  • Talented individuals from the community were felicitated for their achievements.

  • A life sketch of Sen Maharaj was presented by Mukesh Panwar.

Chief Guest Mahant Indradev Das shared an inspiring religious address, emphasizing devotion, humility, and community service.

The event concluded with the national anthem (“Jana Gana Mana“) and was followed by a community feast (prasad).
