
Udaipur : The Udaipur Zoo Development Trust held a quarterly meeting on Thursday. In this meeting, it was decided to prepare a comprehensive 15-year development plan for the sanctuaries, biological parks, and other protected areas under the trust.
The meeting was chaired by Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Bhatt. District Collector Arvind Poswal, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Sunil Chindri, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) SRV Murthy, and Udaipur Development Authority Commissioner Rahul Jain were also present.
This development plan will be prepared with the advice of experts. The aim of the plan is to promote tourism in these areas and also to conserve biodiversity.
The meeting also informed that new facilities have been started for tourists in Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary and Biological Park, such as modern toilets, baby care rooms, and better parking facilities. Due to these facilities, the number of tourists in these areas has increased.
Registered guides have also been given free entry to Sajjangarh so that tourists can get better information. In addition, in view of the incidents of snakes coming out during the rainy season, it has also been decided to train snake catchers.
