UAE in Weather Chaos: Extreme Heat, Hailstorms, and Heavy Rains Pummel Parts of the Country

Dubai : As summer hits the UAE and the country experiences some of its hottest temperatures, some rain falls to cool off the heat a bit.

The weather in the United Arab Emirates in June surprises the population with hail. The highest temperature this summer was recorded on June 21 in Mesair in the Al-Dhafra region and was 49.9 degrees Celsius.

According to the National Meteorological Center, there was hail in Khatm al-Sikla in Al-Ain.

Moderate rain falls on the new Khor Fakkan road to Al Tay. X, Maleh is also reporting light to moderate rain in Sharjah.

This is not the first case this summer, because at the beginning of June, the road in Hatta was damaged by severe thunderstorms and hail.

The expansion of the Indian monsoon will affect the UAE for most of the month, a climate scientist told Khaleej Times earlier. Clouds may form in some parts of the country from time to time, he said.

Earlier, the SCM issued a yellow warning for rain today, June 23. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for windblown dust and sand until eight o’clock tonight across the country.

According to the NCM’s forecast, the weather will remain rainy during the night and Monday morning, and fog may also occur in the coastal areas.
