Two New Train Halts Gifted to Vindhyachal Dham as Vande Bharat and Sogariya–Danapur Express Begin Stops

Mirzapur, November 8 (Udaipur Kiran) — In a major development for devotees and travelers visiting Vindhyachal Dham, Saturday marked a historic day as two prominent trains — the Vande Bharat Express and Sogariya–Danapur Express — began halting at Vindhyachal railway station.

Vande Bharat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the new Varanasi–Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express from Varanasi earlier in the day. The high-speed train, which connects major pilgrimage destinations, will now make a scheduled stop at Vindhyavasini Dham (Vindhyachal) station. The service is expected to significantly improve comfort and connectivity for pilgrims traveling between Vindhyachal and Khajuraho.

At 10:34 a.m., the Vande Bharat Express made its first halt at Vindhyachal station, where Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel and local MLA Ratnakar Mishra welcomed the train. Locals and devotees greeted the arrival with flower garlands and chants of “Jai Vindhyavasini Mata!” creating a festive atmosphere at the station.

The introduction of the halt will benefit pilgrims, tourists, and traders, providing improved access to religious and cultural hubs such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Khajuraho.

Alongside this, the Sogariya–Danapur Express also began its formal stoppage at Vindhyachal station. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ashish Patel said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India’s rail network has achieved “unprecedented modernization and connectivity.” He added that these new halts will boost religious tourism and local economic growth in the region.

The event was attended by railway officials, local representatives, BJP leaders, and a large number of devotees.
