Pali, October 18 (Udaipur Kiran): Two young children lost their lives and 28 passengers were injured in a horrific road accident late Friday night in Rajasthan’s Pali district. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near the Gajangarh toll on the Rohat highway.

According to police, a private bus traveling from Pratapgarh to Jaisalmer lost control and rammed into a road divider. The impact was severe, leaving several passengers badly injured. Upon receiving information, Rohat police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Bangar Hospital in Pali.
Doctors at the hospital had already been alerted and began treatment immediately after the victims arrived. Tragically, a one-year-old girl named Divya, a resident of Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh), died in the accident. Eyewitnesses said the collision was so powerful that the infant sustained fatal injuries, leaving her parents inconsolable.
Another child, seven-year-old Sona from Khetpaliya (Madhya Pradesh), succumbed to injuries after shards of glass pierced her chest. Senior officials, including ADM Pali and SDM Vimalendra Singh Ranawat, visited the hospital to meet the injured and review the situation.
Survivors alleged that they had repeatedly warned the bus driver to slow down, but he ignored their pleas. After the crash, the driver reportedly fled the scene. The bus was carrying around 40 passengers at the time of the accident. Traffic on the highway was briefly disrupted but was soon brought under control by the police.
