Jaipur : A horrific accident late Tuesday night on the Karauli-Gangapur highway in RAJASTHAN claimed the lives of five people and left fifteen others critically injured. The tragedy occurred near Salempur village when a speeding bus collided head-on with a car, reducing it to wreckage and causing instant fatalities.

Collision Details
The fatal incident involved a car traveling from Gangapur to Karauli and a private bus heading in the opposite direction at high speed. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the bus driver lost control, leading to a devastating impact that left the car unrecognizable. The passengers in the car were killed instantly, and the bus passengers suffered severe injuries.
Victims Identified
The deceased have been identified as Nayan Kumar Deshmukh (63), his family members Preeti Bhatt, Mansvi Deshmukh, Khush Deshmukh, and Anita Deshmukh. Originally from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the family had recently relocated to Vadodara, Gujarat. They were reportedly on a pilgrimage to the Kaila Devi temple when the accident occurred.
Injured and Their Conditions
Fifteen injured passengers, including individuals from the bus, were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Among them are:
- Vineet Singhal (31), a resident of Karauli
- Salim (42) and Noor Jahan (50) from Gangapur City
- Shivraj Lal (44) and Samay Singh (21) from Gunesra
Medical teams are working tirelessly to stabilize the injured, with several requiring urgent surgeries.
