Srinagar : In a shocking incident, terrorists attacked a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Sunday, killing 10 people and injuring several others.
The attack took place in the Kandala area of Reasi district, coinciding with the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the new cabinet in New Delhi.

According to Reasi SSP Mohita Sharma, initial reports suggest that terrorists opened fire on the bus, which was en route from Shiv Khori to Katra, injuring the driver and causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
The bus subsequently plunged into a gorge. 10 people died on the spot, while 33 others were injured.
SSP Sharma further informed that the remaining passengers on the bus have been rescued. The identities of the passengers are yet to be ascertained. Most of the pilgrims are believed to be from Uttar Pradesh.
The Shiv Khori temple is the base camp for the Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. Security forces have cordoned off the area and taken control of the situation.
