Hyderabad, November 3 (Udaipur Kiran) — At least 18 passengers were killed in a devastating road accident early Monday morning in Telangana’s Rangareddy district, when an RTC passenger bus collided head-on with a tipper truck near Khanpur Gate in Chevella Mandal. The accident occurred around 6 a.m., about 40 kilometres from Hyderabad.

According to eyewitnesses, both the tipper driver and the RTC bus driver were among the deceased. The collision was so severe that several passengers were trapped inside the bus. The front five rows of seats were completely mangled after the vehicle got stuck under the tipper.
The bus was reportedly carrying around 70 passengers at the time of the accident. Rescue operations were launched immediately after the incident, with local residents and emergency teams working together to retrieve bodies and rescue the injured.
Authorities are yet to officially confirm the total number of casualties. The injured passengers have been shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Police and district officials have reached the site, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
