Hyderabad, May 6: Telangana’s Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao reviewed preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hyderabad on May 10 during a meeting held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat.
The Chief Secretary directed officials from all departments to ensure comprehensive arrangements through mutual coordination. During his visit, the Prime Minister is expected to inaugurate several development projects and address a public gathering at Parade Ground in Secunderabad.
In light of this, the Chief Secretary instructed the police department to implement security, law and order, traffic, and other necessary arrangements according to the ‘Blue Book’ protocol.
An official release stated that the fire department has been directed to deploy adequate fire tenders at Begumpet Airport, the helipad, and all event venues. The health department has been tasked with ensuring medical facilities are in place.
The police, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, and the Roads and Buildings department have been instructed to inspect all routes for the Prime Minister’s convoy and carry out repairs on a war footing if necessary. The electricity department has been asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply at all locations. The Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination to ensure the Prime Minister’s visit is successful.
The meeting was attended by various officials, including Director General of Police C.V. Anand, Special Chief Secretary Development Raj, and others.
Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Home B. Sanjay Kumar expressed readiness as a BJP worker for the Prime Minister’s rally at Parade Ground on May 10. He described the Prime Minister as a leader who has given new direction to governance, restored national pride, and charted a course for a strong India.
Sanjay Kumar stated that this is not just a public meeting but a moment where people will be inspired to move forward. He appealed for a grand welcome for Prime Minister Modi in Telangana, noting that this will be his first visit to the state after his third term. He claimed that the central BJP government is committed to the development of Telangana and mentioned that the Prime Minister will dedicate development projects worth ₹7,823 crores during this visit.
