Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes Government Over Rising Crime in Bihar
Patna, August 8: Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, addressed concerns regarding rising crime rates and the plight of poor farmers and laborers during a visit to Dinara on Saturday. He highlighted the brutal murder of a poor farmer-laborer in Rohtas Dinara, stating that efforts are being made to shield the accused involved in the case.
Yadav announced plans to meet the victim’s family and provide them with financial assistance from the party. He emphasized that the deceased came from a disadvantaged background and was killed while demanding his wages. Since the arrival of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary’s government, he noted a significant increase in crime across Bihar.
He further criticized the government, claiming that criminals are targeting the poor while the police are using force against students. Yadav accused the Chaudhary administration of ruining Bihar, stating that the state treasury is empty and there is no money for contractors, employees, or pensions. He condemned the rampant corruption and crime under the current government, asserting that it is their duty to stand with the grieving families.
Yadav also claimed that the state government is being run from Delhi, reiterating that any Chief Minister from the BJP would merely be a rubber stamp, with no real decisions being made. He condemned the lack of action against corrupt officials and criminals, asserting that they are being protected instead. He concluded by stating that the government has completely disregarded law and order in the state.
