Tecno Camon 30 series was launched in Nigeria on Wednesday, April 3rd. This collection included the base models Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G, Camon 30 5G and Camon 30. It was first announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in February this year. The smartphones are powered by MediaTek chipsets and each have a 5,000mAh battery and support wired fast charging of up to 70W. It also has stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. The launch of this device in India has not been confirmed yet.
Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G, Camon 30 5G, Camon 30 Price
The 8GB + 256GB option of the base Tecno Camon 30 is priced at 273,000 naira (roughly Rs. 17,100) and the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at 321,500 naira (roughly Rs. 20.20). This model is available in dark Iceland basalt, desert sand brown and Uyuni salt white.
On the other hand, the Tecno Camon 30 5G is priced at 452,000 naira (approximately Rs. 28,400) and the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G is priced at 538,000 naira (approximately Rs. 33,800). The first color is Emerald Lake Green, Island Basalt Dark and Uyuni Salt White. Professional models include Iceland Basalt Dark Shade and Alpine Snow Silver Shade.
Tecno Nigeria is yet to announce the release date of the Camon 30 but has released the list of stores where you can pre-order it now.
Specifications and features of Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G
The Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ (2436 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. It is a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal Storage. This device has HiOS 14 operating system based on Android 14.
As for optics, the Tecno Camon Pro 5G features a 1/1.56-inch 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The back is covered by two rear flash units. The front camera has a 50 megapixel sensor with autofocus.
The Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 70W fast charging via USB Type-C port. There is also a fingerprint sensor under the display.

The Tecno Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 4G options have the same display as the Pro version. However, the vanilla model supports refresh rates of up to 120Hz. The 5G phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC while the 4G option comes with the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. These phones also have the same operating system, battery and selfie camera specifications as the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G.
In the camera department, the Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 feature a dual rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with a dual flash unit at the back. The 5G model supports 70W fast charging and the 4G model supports 45W wired fast charging. Both phones have an under-display fingerprint scanner.
