Mumbai, 13 November (Udaipur Kiran)। Tata Steel shares moved higher on Thursday after the company reported a sharp surge—over three-fold—in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2FY26).

On the BSE, the stock was trading at ₹182.05, up ₹3.40 or 1.90% from its previous close of ₹178.65. It opened at ₹184.20, touching an intraday high of ₹184.20 and a low of ₹180.95. More than 16.73 lakh shares have been traded so far. The current market capitalization stands at ₹2,27,261.32 crore.
The BSE Group ‘A’ stock has recorded a 52-week high of ₹187.00 (29 October 2025) and a 52-week low of ₹122.60 (13 January 2025). Promoters hold 33.19%, while institutions and non-institutions own 44.39% and 21.92% respectively.
Q2 Earnings Highlights

Standalone net profit rose 13.06% to ₹4,060.13 crore, compared to ₹3,590.99 crore in the same quarter last year.

Standalone total income increased 6.13% to ₹35,289.67 crore from ₹33,250.94 crore last year.

On a consolidated basis, the company posted a massive jump in net profit to ₹3,101.75 crore, up from ₹833.45 crore in Q2FY25.

Consolidated total income rose 8.35% to ₹59,052.84 crore compared to ₹54,503.30 crore a year earlier.
