Tata Power Slips as Q2 Consolidated Profit Edges Lower

Mumbai, 13 November (Udaipur Kiran)। Tata Power was trading at Rs. 389.50 on the BSE, down 6.10 points or 1.54% from its previous close of Rs. 395.60. The stock opened at Rs. 389.25 and recorded an intraday high of Rs. 395.70 and a low of Rs. 387.80. A total of 8,44,240 shares have been traded so far.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of Re. 1, hit a 52-week high of Rs. 447.70 on 9 December 2024 and a 52-week low of Rs. 326.25 on 17 February 2025. Over the past week, the scrip has moved between Rs. 401.95 and Rs. 386.05. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 1,24,506.41 crore. Promoters hold 46.86% stake, while institutional and non-institutional investors hold 26.85% and 26.28% respectively.

Tata Power Company reported a 57.26% decline in standalone net profit at Rs. 431.10 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2025, compared to Rs. 1,008.61 crore in the same period last year. Standalone total income also fell sharply by 40.41% to Rs. 3,395.27 crore for Q2FY26, against Rs. 5,697.59 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On a consolidated basis, the company posted a marginal dip in net profit at Rs. 919.44 crore for Q2FY26, compared to Rs. 926.53 crore in the same quarter last year. Consolidated total income also slipped slightly to Rs. 16,050.32 crore from Rs. 16,210.80 crore in the year-ago period.
