Electric Powertrain and Performance

The Suzuki e-Access is equipped with a 4.1 kW electric motor that delivers a peak torque of 15 Nm, ensuring a strong balance between city-friendly performance and efficiency. The scooter offers a top speed of 71 km/h, making it suitable for both daily urban commutes and slightly longer suburban rides.

Drive Modes for Customised Riding

The e-Access features three distinct riding modes tailored to different needs:

  • Eco Mode: Prioritises efficiency, capping speed at 55 km/h and enhancing regenerative braking for extended range.

  • Ride Mode A: Offers full performance with 71 km/h top speed and stronger regenerative braking (2 kW) for quicker deceleration.

  • Ride Mode B: Also delivers peak performance with a softer regenerative braking setting (1 kW), offering a more relaxed ride feel.

Range and Battery Specifications

At the heart of the e-Access is a 3.07 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery pack, which is non-removable and fixed to the scooter’s chassis. Suzuki claims the e-Access can deliver a riding range of up to 95 km on a single charge, a figure that puts it in direct competition with current class leaders.

Charging Options and Timelines

The e-Access supports both AC and DC fast charging, catering to varying rider needs:

  • AC Charging:

    • 0% to 80% in 4 hours 30 minutes

    • Full charge in 6 hours 20 minutes

  • DC Fast Charging:

    • 0% to 80% in 1 hour 12 minutes

    • 0% to 100% in just 2 hours 12 minutes

These charging capabilities ensure minimal downtime, offering greater convenience to urban users.

Launch and Market Position

The launch of the Suzuki e-Access comes at a time when India’s electric scooter market is becoming increasingly competitive. Suzuki’s decision to enter with a product rooted in its successful Access brand gives it an instant advantage in terms of recognition and trust among buyers. With a combination of strong performance specs, versatile drive modes, and competitive range, the e-Access is set to carve out its space in the EV segment.

While pricing is yet to be officially announced, expectations are high that Suzuki will price it aggressively to appeal to urban commuters seeking a reliable electric alternative with brand legacy.
