Lucknow, June 17: The spokesperson for the Samajwadi Party (SP), Fakhrul Hasan Chand, responded on Wednesday to the claims made by Om Prakash Rajbhar, the leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, who asserted that the Samajwadi Party would soon disintegrate. Chand dismissed Rajbhar’s assertions as entirely baseless, stating that the SP does not take such statements seriously.
In an interview, Fakhrul Hasan Chand mentioned that the Samajwadi Party possesses information indicating that Om Prakash Rajbhar is operating under pressure. He claimed that Rajbhar’s son, Arun Rajbhar, had met with SP national president Akhilesh Yadav and during that meeting, requested the merger of SBSP into the Samajwadi Party.
Chand further elaborated that during the conversation with the SP leader, Arun Rajbhar indicated that his father was under significant pressure from the BJP. He revealed that messages from the BJP reach Om Prakash Rajbhar, compelling him to make certain public statements and post specific content on social media as directed by the BJP. He is reportedly under constant stress and eager to meet Akhilesh Yadav, but is unable to do so due to the BJP’s pressure.
Additionally, Arun Rajbhar expressed concerns about preserving the politics of backward classes while pleading for the merger of SBSP into the Samajwadi Party. Fakhrul Hasan Chand asserted that following this discussion, the Samajwadi Party no longer takes Om Prakash Rajbhar’s statements seriously. He accused Rajbhar of propagating messages from the BJP and promoting them through social media.
Chand concluded by stating that since Arun Rajbhar himself indicated that his father’s statements should not be taken seriously, the Samajwadi Party does not attribute significant importance to any of Rajbhar’s remarks. Therefore, Rajbhar’s claim regarding the disintegration of the Samajwadi Party is purely political rhetoric with no basis in reality.
