The hooliganism was caught by the close circuit cameras installed at the circle and the video footage went viral recently. Though there was no complaint made either by the victim Prerak Upadhaya or his family, however, the incident drew much attention and criticism from the citizens. PCC chief Sachin Pilot too condemned the incident and warned of a protest if police didnt take proper action against the minister’s son. Facing pressure from the media and public, SP Kaluram Rawat called for an enquiry.
” I asked the SHO to call both parties at the police station and reaffirm if the victim really wanted to give a complaint. The officer spoke to both the parties. Prerak and his family reinstated that Rajveer had apologised for his misconduct and that they have forgiven him. Even courts prefer amicable settlement of disputes and after many years of trials, parties reconcile. In this case, both of them, having known each other for a long time, have reconciled and there is nothing wrong in it” Rawat told Udaipur Kiran.
