South Indian Bank reports many folds jump in Q2 net profit

South Indian Bank has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2018.

The Bank has reported over 16 fold jump in its net profit at Rs 70.13 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 4.32 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank marginally increased by 2.08% at Rs 1,854.40 crore for Q2FY19 as compared Rs 1,816.67 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the June-September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 4.61%, as compared to 3.57% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 3.16% in Q2FY19.
