Udaipur, February 11: South Africa triumphed over Afghanistan by four runs in a thrilling Super Over match. In the second Super Over, South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj was tasked with defending 24 runs. He started strong, bowling two dot balls and taking the wicket of Mohammad Nabi. However, Afghanistan’s Gurbaz responded fiercely, hitting three consecutive sixes in just three balls, raising the excitement of the match. With six runs needed on the last ball for victory, Maharaj delivered a wide ball. Afghanistan required four runs to tie and five to win, but Maharaj showcased exceptional bowling skills, catching Gurbaz out at cover point. This remarkable performance secured a narrow victory for South Africa.
