Udaipur (Udaipur Kiran): A training programme titled “Skill Up Program: Empowering the Next Generation” was organised at Pacific Polytechnic College, under Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research University, with the objective of enhancing students’ overall skill development and employability.

Dr Mukesh Shrimali, Director of Pacific Polytechnic College, said the programme was funded by Infosys under its leading CSR initiative and implemented by Centum Foundation, with support from Innovation Comes Jointly (ICJ). The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of chief trainer Abhishek Kumar.
He said the main aim of the initiative was to empower students who face challenges in securing employment due to lack of experience, confidence, or relevant skills. As an implementing partner, ICJ remains committed to bridging the skill gap and improving the employability of unemployed youth. Under the Infosys CSR programme, final-year students were provided free job-oriented and skill-based training.
The 60-hour comprehensive training module covered key topics such as soft skills, digital literacy, finance for non-finance students, communication skills, time and people management, interview skills, planning and prioritisation, email etiquette, profile building, and an introduction to artificial intelligence.
On the occasion, Prof Hemant Kothari of Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research University said the training was an excellent initiative to equip students with practical and industry-oriented skills, which would play an important role in their bright future and nation-building.
Training and Placement Director Dr Shankar Chaudhary congratulated the students on the successful completion of the programme. At the end of the event, certificates were distributed to the students, and chief trainer Abhishek Kumar was felicitated with a memento and a token of appreciation.
