Silver Prices Drop Below ₹2 Lakh Mark in Chennai, Hyderabad Markets
New Delhi, December 5 (Udaipur Kiran). The domestic bullion market witnessed a slight weakness in silver prices today, with the precious metal declining by just ₹100 per kilogram. Due to this weakness, silver has once again fallen below the ₹2 lakh per kilogram level in Chennai and Hyderabad markets.
Silver is currently trading between ₹1,87,700 per kilogram to ₹1,95,900 per kilogram across different bullion markets in the country. In Delhi, silver prices slipped to ₹1,90,900 per kilogram today. Similarly, in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata, silver is trading at ₹1,90,700 per kilogram.
In Jaipur, Surat and Pune, silver is holding at ₹1,91,000 per kilogram level. Meanwhile, in Bengaluru, silver is trading at ₹1,91,200 per kilogram, while in Patna and Bhubaneswar it is at ₹1,90,800 per kilogram. The highest silver prices in the country are still in Chennai and Hyderabad, where the precious metal has slipped from the ₹2 lakh level to ₹1,99,900 per kilogram today.
Rajiv Datta, CEO of Capex Gold and Investments, says that despite today’s decline in silver prices, there is still a possibility of strength coming in. In the international market, silver prices have consistently remained above $55 per ounce. Even today, this precious metal is trading at $58.57 per ounce level in the international market.
Due to increasing industrial demand, its price may reach $63 to $65 per ounce in the coming days. However, small investors should carefully plan their investment strategy during the current period of volatility.
