Udaipur – Panic turned to relief in Shobhji Ka Kheda village of Mavli tehsil as forest officials successfully captured a second panther within a month. The area had been witnessing increasing panther activity in recent days, creating fear among the residents.
Responding to the threat, the Forest Department had set up traps in the village with active support from the locals. Sarpanch Abhishek Inani, along with villagers Mahendra Singh, Khem Singh, Ganpat Singh, Dilip Singh, and Ramlal Gairi, played a key role in assisting the department by monitoring and maintaining vigilance.
On Wednesday night, one of the traps successfully captured a panther. As news of the capture spread, a wave of relief swept through the village. Over the past few weeks, the big cat had killed several cows, goats, and calves, causing significant financial losses to livestock owners in the area.
