‘Sarhad Se Samundar’ Motorcycle Rally Reaches Udaipur, Receives Grand Welcome

Udaipur, January 29: As part of the Indian Coast Guard’s (ICG) 49th Foundation Day celebrations, the ‘Sarhad Se Samundar’ Motorcycle Expedition, which began on January 22 from Attari, arrived in Udaipur on Wednesday. The convoy was welcomed with great enthusiasm at Udaipur City Palace by Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, a noted academician, philanthropist, and member of the Mewar royal family.

The rally, led by Commandants Shyam Sundar and Sandeep Shukla, aims to instill patriotism and a sense of national service among the youth. Commending the initiative, Dr. Mewar praised the participants’ dedication to the nation and their relentless efforts.

“Events like these inspire young generations to serve and dedicate themselves to the nation,” Dr. Mewar remarked.

According to Deputy Inspector General Gaurav Acharya, the rally will pass through various cities and villages across Rajasthan and Gujarat, deepening nationalistic spirit among rural communities.

The Indian Coast Guard, which plays a vital role in securing maritime borders, providing humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and supporting coastal communities, continues to uphold its mission of empowering citizens and strengthening national security.

Rally Flagged Off for Kevadia, Gujarat

On Wednesday morning, the Commander of the Battle Axe Division’s Trishakti Brigade flagged off the rally for Kevadia, Gujarat. The rally aims to raise awareness about key government initiatives, including:

  • “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree for Mother)
  • “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child)
  • “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” (Clean India Mission)

Additionally, the team will conduct interactive sessions in schools and colleges, educating students about the Indian Coast Guard’s role, values, and gender equality in the armed forces. These engagements aim to encourage young minds to consider careers in the defense sector.
