Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are expected to be released later this year as successors to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, respectively, with a third entry-level foldable phone. The smartphone maker plans to launch its foldable phones in the second half of 2024, Elek said (in Korean). Meanwhile, the South Korean company is expected to finalize the specifications and suppliers of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series smartphones by May. .
According to the report, Samsung will begin manufacturing parts for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in early May, allowing the company to launch these foldable phones in mid-July. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 on July 26 last year – the 2022 models will be released in August.
Two months after the expected release of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Fold 6, Samsung is reportedly planning to launch a cheaper version of the latter called the Galaxy Z Fold FE. The cheaper model lacks a stylus to keep costs down and will go on sale in September or October, around the same time Apple is expected to launch its iPhone 16 series of smartphones.
The successors to the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones are expected to appear in early 2025, and Samsung will decide on the product specifications and component suppliers of its next flagship by the end of May.
Last month, it was reported that Samsung could release a standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 model and a Galaxy Z Fold “Ultra” model later this year – the latter of which will be the company’s most expensive folding model, similar to the Galaxy S series.
