The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE was announced worldwide on Thursday. This is the first “Fan Edition” (FE) version of the South Korean tech giant’s smartwatch. This smart wearable features a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED screen, dual-core Exynos W920 chipset, and IP68 dust and water resistance.
The device has multiple health and activity sensors to monitor heart rate, EGC and blood pressure. With this smartwatch, users can also work with their smartphone’s camera and access their digital wallet.
The company confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be available for purchase worldwide this summer, but did not provide a date. It was also noted that the availability of various smartwatch features varies by region. The watch’s aluminum case is available in three colors: black, rose gold and silver. It comes in one size 40mm and features a one-click replaceable strap.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE has a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 396 x 396 pixels, sapphire glass and Always On Display function. The device is powered by a dual-core Exynos W920 chipset and features One UI 5 Watch with Wear OS. This watch supports 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The Galaxy Smart Watch Fan Edition is equipped with several health trackers, including a heart rate sensor. The HR alarm function helps detect abnormally high or low heart rates and the IHRN (Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification) function can measure atrial fibrillation, which can indicate heart disease.
The watch can also measure blood pressure and track the user’s sleep cycle. According to the South Korean technology company, more than 100 preset training modes are also offered.
Other features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE include support for Samsung Wallet, which allows users to access stored documents such as digital wallets and ID cards. Using the camera control, users can also control the camera of the paired smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE is powered by a 247mAh battery that supports WPC-based wireless charging. The watch’s connectivity options include LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo and NFC.
This device features a MIL-STD-810H compliant structure with 5ATM water resistance and IP68 dust and water resistance. The dimensions of this watch are 39.3 x 40.4 x 9.8 mm and its weight is 26.6 grams.

The price of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE was previously leaked online through a false listing. The Bluetooth version of the 40mm smartwatch costs 199 euros (approximately Rs. 16,600).
According to a report in The Verge, the Bluetooth version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be available starting June 24 for $199.99 (roughly Rs. 16,700). The LTE version of the watch costs $249.99 (approximately Rs. 16,700). 20,900) and is expected to go on sale this year.
