Samsung Galaxy S24 FE firmware details, EU model number leaked ahead of expected release

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is said to be under development at the South Korean smartphone maker and is expected to launch later this year.

While there’s no news from Samsung about the Galaxy S24 FE, a leaker has revealed details about a new test version of One UI, Samsung’s Android-based user interface, that has appeared on the company’s firmware server. The firmware should be for the European version of the Galaxy S series.

Last month, it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will launch in North America, Korea, Canada and other countries with model numbers SM-S721B, SM-S721U, SM-S721W and SM-S721N.

According to previous reports, the next-generation Galaxy S24 FE could be released earlier than its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE, which was released in October 2023. However, it is not yet known when the Galaxy S 24 FE will be released. The Korean company is expected to launch new Galaxy Z series smartphones and unveil next-generation Galaxy Watch models at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in July.

The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to be the successor to the Galaxy S23 FE launched by the company last year. The latter is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in the US and the Exynos 2200 chip in other regions. The phone has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. It is equipped with a 4500mAh battery that supports wired and wireless charging at 25W and 15W respectively.
