New Delhi, March 9, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Samsung has revealed key details about its upcoming smartphone Galaxy M17e 5G ahead of its official launch. The company confirmed that the device will be launched in India on March 17. The new addition to the Galaxy M series will come with a large battery, high refresh rate display, and 5G connectivity.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy M17e 5G will feature a 6.7-inch HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The display will also include Adaptive Brightness and High Brightness Mode (HBM). In terms of design, the smartphone will have a slim 8.2mm body and a GFRP back panel. It will also carry an IP54 rating, offering a certain level of protection against dust and water splashes.
For performance, the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with a Mali G57 GPU. In the camera department, the Galaxy M17e 5G will feature a 50-megapixel main camera along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone will include an 8-megapixel front camera.
The device will pack a 6000mAh battery and run on Android 16-based One UI 8. The software will offer features such as Large Folders, Now Bar, and Live Notifications. In addition, the smartphone will support Google Gemini AI assistant and Circle to Search functionality.
For security, Samsung has included Samsung Knox Vault and Auto Blocker features. The company also stated that the smartphone will receive six OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
Samsung has not yet disclosed the price of the Galaxy M17e 5G. As announced earlier, the smartphone will be officially introduced in India on March 17. A dedicated microsite for the device is already live on Samsung’s online store and Amazon.
