Samsung Galaxy A56 5G users are reporting a widespread issue following the recent One UI 7 update, which has left many devices stuck in a bootloop — rendering them temporarily unusable. The update, which introduced enhanced Google Gemini AI integration, has inadvertently caused severe system instability, prompting users to flood Samsung’s community forums with complaints.

What Went Wrong With the One UI 7 Update?
The problematic update, carrying build number A566BXXU3AYDK, is based on Android 15 and was released earlier this month. One of its key highlights was the integration of Google’s Gemini AI assistant, offering users quicker access via the side button. However, instead of improving functionality, the update caused several Galaxy A56 5G devices to become stuck on the boot-up animation screen.
Many users reported that even a soft reset failed to resolve the issue. Attempting a hard reset was also ineffective for some, as they were unable to access the recovery menu.
Community-Sourced Temporary Fix
According to reports shared on Samsung’s community forums and further confirmed by Dutch publication GalaxyClub, a temporary workaround appears to be helping affected users. Here’s the fix:
Power off the phone completely
Remove the physical SIM card tray
Reboot the device
This seems to allow the phone to bypass the bootloop and start normally. For eSIM users, the workaround involves skipping the SIM password prompt during startup, which can also allow the device to boot properly.
While effective for many, this is only a temporary solution, and not a comprehensive fix. Samsung has yet to release an official patch to permanently address the issue.
What’s New in One UI 7?
The One UI 7 update was designed to provide deeper integration of Google’s Gemini AI with Samsung’s suite of apps, including Calendar, Notes, Clock, and Reminders. Users can activate Gemini by long-pressing the side button, a new gesture that replaces the traditional corner swipe. The feature is customizable through the settings menu.
Gemini enables voice-activated commands like:
Saving notes
Setting alarms
Adding calendar events
Looking up YouTube content or sports schedules
Despite the impressive feature set, the rollout’s technical glitches have overshadowed the benefits for many users.
What Should Users Do Now?
Samsung has not yet issued an official statement or a software patch. Users experiencing the bootloop are advised to use the SIM removal workaround as a temporary measure and refrain from further software modifications until a stable fix is provided.
