Samsung confirmed the existence of its next dedicated mobile chipset, the Exynos 2500, during a call with investors on Thursday. The company said the chipset will be developed by Samsung Systems’ Large-Scale Integrated Circuits (LSI) division. In the second half of this year, the South Korean tech company plans to maintain a steady supply of Exynos 2500 SoCs as its “flagship products.”

According to Samsung, the Exynos 2500 will be a chipset manufactured using the 3nm process. It is based on the company’s Gate All-Around Transistor Architecture (GAA) and is said to reduce power consumption by 45% while increasing performance by 23%. The company did not name specific devices, but emphasized the need for a steady supply of the chipset as a “flagship product” in the second half of 2024.
It is speculated that the Exynos 2500 SoC could power the Samsung Galaxy S25 series in some regions. In particular, Samsung uses its own chipsets in certain markets and Qualcomm’s SoC in some markets.
