Mumbai, September 23 (Udaipur Kiran News): Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) shares traded higher on Tuesday after the company emerged as the lowest bidder for a Southern Railway contract.

The stock was quoted at Rs. 362.35 on the BSE, up 0.95% from its previous close of Rs. 358.95. It opened at Rs. 363.85 and moved between Rs. 365.00 and Rs. 361.75 during the session, with 11,907 shares traded so far.
RVNL’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 74,841.80 crore. The scrip touched a 52-week high of Rs. 544.90 on 23 September 2024 and a 52-week low of Rs. 295.25 on 7 April 2025. Over the past week, it has traded in the range of Rs. 369.70 to Rs. 355.20.
Promoters hold 72.84% in the company, while institutional investors own 11.28% and non-institutional investors 15.88%.
The company has secured a Rs. 145.34 crore order from Southern Railway for the “Design, Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of Traction Sub Stations (Scott-Connected), including Power Quality Compensating Equipment with Associated Switching Posts, SCADA and Automatic Fault Locator in the Jolarpettai–Salem section of Salem Division under Mission 3000MT Loading Target.” The work is to be completed within 540 days.
