London, July 20: England secured a thrilling victory against India by 27 runs in a high-scoring ODI match played at the historic Lord’s ground on Sunday. With this win, the host team clinched the ODI series 2-1.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, England posted a formidable total of 387 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Ben Duckett and Jacob Bethel provided a solid start, forming a partnership of 192 runs for the first wicket in 181 balls. Bethel scored 91 runs off 93 balls, hitting 2 sixes and 11 fours before being dismissed. Duckett continued the momentum, adding 141 runs from 135 balls, including 19 boundaries, before returning to the pavilion.
