Rico Police Arrest ₹10,000 Rewarded History-Sheeter Shobh Singh Under ‘Dharkarbhar’ Drive

Barmer, October 31 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major breakthrough under the special “Dharkarbhar” campaign, the Rico Police in Barmer district have arrested a wanted history-sheeter and ₹10,000 rewarded criminal, Shobh Singh, son of Ummed Singh Ravna Rajput, resident of Railway Kuwa No. 03, police station Kotwali.

Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh Meena said the arrest was made as part of the statewide operation launched on the instructions of Police Headquarters and Jodhpur Range IG, aimed at tracking down and apprehending long-time absconding criminals.

Absconding Under Arms Act Case

According to SP Meena, Shobh Singh was wanted in a case registered under the Arms Act at Kotwali Police Station and had been evading court appearances for a long time. Considering his prolonged absconding, the police had announced a cash reward of ₹10,000 for his capture.

Criminal Record and Ongoing Surveillance

Police records reveal that Shobh Singh is a notorious thief and burglar, with 20 criminal cases registered against him across various police stations. He is also a listed history-sheeter of Kotwali Police Station, Barmer.

Under the leadership of Rico SHO Manoj Samaria, the police team kept close surveillance on Shobh Singh’s movements. Through intelligence gathering and the use of technical tools, the team was able to trace his location and apprehend him successfully.

SP Narendra Singh Meena lauded the efforts of the Rico Police team for their diligence and coordination in executing this successful arrest under the ongoing Dharkarbhar campaign targeting wanted and habitual offenders.
