Redmi Pad SE was first released in August 2023 in select European markets. The tablet is now being manufactured in India. Xiaomi recently announced its Smarter Living 2024 event to be held on April 23 in India. In the announcement, the company announced the introduction of four new products. One was speculated to be a tablet and the official teaser confirmed the upcoming launch of the Redmi Pad SE in the country. The design, colors and key features of the Indian version of the model have also been revealed.
Xiaomi India announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the Redmi Pad SE will launch in India on April 23. This post includes a link to Xiaomi’s microsite for the Indian version of the tablet, which reveals some of its key features. The leaked details suggest that the Indian variant of the Redmi Pad SE will be identical to its global counterpart.
The Redmi Note SE will be sold in three colors in India: Green, Gray and Lavender. Available worldwide in these shades as well. The design of the Indian version of the tablet is also unchanged compared to the European version. It has an 11-inch Full HD+ (1900 x 1200 pixels) LCD screen with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz and is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light.
The Indian variant of the Redmi Pad SE is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and is said to offer up to 14 hours of video playback or up to 219 hours of music playback. It also claims a standby battery life of up to 43 days. The tablet should also support multitasking with split-screen and floating window features.
The price details of the Redmi Pad SE India variant are yet to be announced. For reference, in some European markets, the tablet has been priced at €199 (approx. Rs. 18,000) for the 4GB+128GB variant, while the 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants have been priced at €229 ( about Rs.20,800). and cost Rs 249. Euros (about Rs. 22,600).
