Mumbai, June 2 (Udaipur Kiran): Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons. She is being accused of assaulting an elderly woman and two others in an alleged road rage incident in Mumbai’s Bandra suburb late on Saturday night.
According to reports, Raveena’s driver was driving recklessly near Carter Road near Rizvi College when he hit a 70-year-old woman, her daughter, and niece. When confronted by the victims, Raveena, who was allegedly in an intoxicated state, got out of her car and allegedly abused and assaulted them.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, in which the victim woman and locals are seen surrounding Raveena and calling for the police. The victim is heard saying, “You will have to spend the night in jail. My nose is bleeding.” Raveena is seen pleading with the people not to record the video. As the crowd closes in on her, the actress is heard saying, “Please don’t push me.”
Raveena fled the scene shortly after the incident. The victim and her family then went to the Khar police station to file a case against the actress. Raveena’s husband Anil Thadani arrived at the police station some time later. He tried to talk to the victim and her family. However, they made it clear that they would not rest until a case was registered.
Raveena Tandon has not yet commented on the allegations. The police are investigating the matter.
