Jaipur, February 1 : The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is set to conduct the RAS Prelims 2024 examination on Sunday, February 2, across 2045 examination centers statewide. A total of 6.75 lakh candidates have registered for the exam, which will be held in a single shift from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Strict Security Measures in Place
To ensure smooth and fair conduct, control rooms have been activated, and examination materials have been dispatched to all centers. RPSC Secretary Ramniwas Mehta confirmed that candidates will be allowed entry only until 11:00 AM, after which the exam center gates will be strictly closed.
Key Exam Day Guidelines for Candidates
- Entry Protocol: Candidates must present their admit card, original Aadhaar card (color print), and verification documents for entry.
- Identity Verification: Thumbprints and handwritten signature samples in both English and Hindi will be recorded on the admit card.
- Electronic Devices Prohibited: Mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices are completely banned inside exam centers. Even on-duty police personnel will not be allowed to carry mobile phones.
- Cyber Café and E-Mitra Closures: Cyber cafés and E-Mitra centers within a 100-meter radius of examination centers will remain closed during the exam duration.
- Security Checks: Candidates and examination staff will be subjected to mandatory frisking through HHMD (Hand-Held Metal Detectors) or DFMD (Door Frame Metal Detectors).
- Video Surveillance: Each exam center will have two videographers to monitor activities and prevent cheating or dummy candidates.
- Dress Code: Candidates are permitted to wear warm clothing and shoes due to the winter season.
- Answer Sheet Policy: Candidates must retain the carbon copy of their OMR answer sheets until the selection process is completed, as they may be required to submit it to the commission.
Focus on Preventing Exam Malpractices
The Special Operations Group (SOG) and Intelligence Department are actively monitoring the exam to prevent cheating and the use of proxy candidates. Additionally, candidates must ensure their Aadhaar card photo is clear and up-to-date. If the Aadhaar card photo is old or unclear, candidates must bring an alternative original photo ID such as a passport, voter ID, or driving license.
With tight security measures in place, the RAS Prelims 2024 is expected to be conducted in a fair and transparent manner across Rajasthan.
