Ajmer, February 3 – The Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) Preliminary Exam 2024, conducted on Sunday from 12 PM to 3 PM, witnessed controversy at a test center in Nawalgarh, Jhunjhunu, where a question paper envelope was found already open. The incident led to protests, with nine out of ten candidates boycotting the exam and filing complaints with the district collector, demanding action against the serious procedural lapse.

🔹 Exam Hall Incident: Candidates arrived at their designated classroom, where 24 candidates were assigned, but only 10 appeared for the exam. When the question paper was brought in, the envelope was already open, sparking immediate suspicion and protests.

In an unprecedented move, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) released the RAS Pre-2024 exam’s model answer key within just five hours of the exam.

IAS Ashutosh Gupta, Chief Exam Controller, stated that this is the first time the model answer key has been uploaded on the same day as the exam.

Entry Restrictions Spark Protests Across Multiple Exam Centers

📍 Kota (Modi College) – A woman candidate broke down in tears after being denied entry for arriving late. Despite pleading with police officers, she was not allowed to enter.

📍 Kotputli (Taj Memorial B.Ed College)
✔ Candidate Anil alleged arbitrary entry rules.
✔ He was denied entry for not carrying two passport-size photos, while others with only one photo were allowed inside.
✔ After rushing back to get another photo, he was denied entry as the gates had already closed.
✔ Frustrated candidates protested outside the exam center, forcing authorities to deploy additional police personnel.

Such entry-related discrepancies caused unrest among aspirants, with many alleging mismanagement and lack of uniform guidelines at different centers.
