Mumbai, September 4: BJP MLA Ram Kadam has responded to several pressing issues, including the Disha Salian case, Aditya Thackeray’s statements, the Maratha reservation movement, and the political landscape in Uttar Pradesh. He referred to the ongoing CBI investigation into the Disha Salian case, asserting that the truth will emerge post-investigation. Kadam accused opposition parties of engaging in opportunistic politics regarding these matters.
Regarding the Disha Salian case, Kadam questioned why Aditya Thackeray’s name was mentioned by Salian’s father if he had no connection to the incident. He highlighted that allegations of attempts to suppress the case during the Uddhav Thackeray government came from the victim’s family, who have persistently sought justice and requested a CBI inquiry. Kadam emphasized that the victim’s family’s concerns are more significant than Thackeray’s responses, and he awaits the CBI’s findings.
In response to Sunetra Pawar’s appeal, Kadam expressed condolences for her loss and acknowledged the family’s courage in returning to public life. He urged opposition leaders to respect the family’s feelings and refrain from politicizing the issue further.
Kadam also referenced Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s comments on the CJP, labeling it a “Congress-supporting party.” He noted that some former members have raised concerns about its leadership. He cautioned against misleading the youth and students through political activities, alleging connections between current political movements and Congress and Arvind Kejriwal’s associates.
Highlighting the central government’s economic achievements, Kadam stated that India’s GDP growth has surpassed expectations, positioning the nation favorably on the global stage. He characterized the opposition’s political maneuvers as a calculated strategy of opportunism.
On the Maratha reservation movement, Kadam acknowledged the community’s long-standing struggle for their demands. He criticized previous governments for neglecting these issues while asserting that the current government is committed to addressing them seriously. He stressed the importance of dialogue and discussion to find solutions, affirming the BJP’s support for the Maratha community without compromising the rights of other communities.
Targeting former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Kadam suggested that Yadav’s derogatory comments stem from an anticipated electoral defeat. He questioned Yadav’s use of the term “Chavanni” and recalled serious allegations against the Samajwadi Party’s past governance, stating that the people of Uttar Pradesh will decide the relevance of such language in politics.
Kadam supported Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s statements regarding Sanatan Dharma, claiming that certain forces are attempting to tarnish its image. He referenced the birth of Lord Krishna, emphasizing that despite being born in prison, he triumphed over evil, framing Adityanath’s remarks within this context.
