In a shocking case of misconduct, Jaipur police constable Surendra Singh has been arrested for allegedly using abusive language against Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph and six other officers in a video posted on social media. The Vidhayakpuri Police Station confirmed the arrest and stated that the constable will be presented before the court today.

Viral Video Sparks Legal Action
The controversy erupted after Surendra Singh posted a video on March 20 on his personal social media account, in which he used offensive language not only against senior police officials but also against a private individual. Following the video’s circulation, Harji Khatik filed an FIR at Vidhayakpuri police station.
According to ACP Balaram Chaudhary of Ashok Nagar, the content of the video was derogatory and damaging to the image of the police department. Given the seriousness of the matter, authorities acted swiftly and arrested the constable on Monday.
Suspension Followed by Arrest
Immediately after the incident surfaced, Surendra Singh was suspended from duty. He was serving in the police lines at the time. The suspension was followed by formal arrest, and the accused is now under judicial process.
Prior Complaints Under Investigation
Police sources revealed that Surendra Singh had a history of similar complaints in the past. During preliminary interrogation, he allegedly claimed to have made the video under the influence of alcohol. Investigators are now probing the motive behind his remarks and the circumstances leading up to the video.
