Jaipur, April 2, 2025Rajasthan is once again set to witness the impact of a western disturbance beginning April 3, with Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Kota divisions likely to experience light rainfall accompanied by thunder and gusty winds. According to the Meteorological Department, winds could reach speeds of 40–50 km/h, bringing a brief but noticeable change in weather to parts of eastern and southeastern Rajasthan.

Despite the upcoming change, much of Rajasthan experienced clear skies and rising temperatures on Wednesday. Nine cities saw daytime highs above 38°C, and nighttime temperatures in six cities crossed the 20°C mark.

Cities such as Alwar, Pilani, Chittorgarh, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Phalodi, Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Churu, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jalore, and Lunkaransar experienced scorching conditions, with daytime temperatures exceeding 38°C. Jaipur, Kota, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Phalodi, and Dungarpur recorded minimum temperatures above 20°C.

Radheshyam Sharma, Director at the Meteorological Centre, Jaipur, stated that temperatures are expected to rise by 3°C over the next 3–4 days. On April 5, Barmer, Jaisalmer, and surrounding regions could experience maximum temperatures reaching 42°C, with the possibility of heatwave conditions in isolated pockets.

In Jaipur, daytime temperatures continue to climb, making the afternoon sun increasingly intense. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature rose by 1°C to 36.9°C, while the minimum temperature dropped by 0.6°C to 20.4°C. The sky remained clear with mild breezes throughout the day.

Looking ahead to Thursday (April 3), parts of Jaipur may receive light rainfall, potentially accompanied by dust storms and thunderstorms. Residents are advised to stay updated with local weather forecasts.
