Ranchi, June 23 — The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall across almost all districts of Jharkhand starting June 24. The department issued this update on Monday, warning of potentially heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms in the southern and western regions of the state.

In addition to rainfall, isolated areas may experience lightning strikes. The IMD has issued a yellow alert in anticipation of these weather conditions, with further warnings for lightning on June 26 as well.
Clear Skies in Ranchi Today
On Monday, Ranchi and nearby areas saw clear skies with intervals of sunshine and occasional cloud cover. Over the past 24 hours, Dumka recorded the highest rainfall in the state at 37.2 mm.
Temperature readings showed notable variation, with Ranchi’s Namkum area recording the state’s highest maximum temperature at 39.9°C and the lowest minimum at 22°C.
