Jaipur, June 29 (Udaipur Kiran): Several cities in Rajasthan, including Jaipur, received light to moderate rainfall on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some parts of Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions in the next three days. Similar rain activities are expected to continue in some parts of Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, and Bikaner divisions for the next three to four days.
Rainfall Recorded on Friday
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms was recorded in some parts of the state on Friday. Heavy rainfall was recorded in some places. Raisinghanagar and Shri Ganganagar in Western Rajasthan received the highest rainfall of 72.3 mm, while Kaman and Bharatpur in Eastern Rajasthan received 68 mm of rainfall.
Temperatures
On Saturday, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 41.5 degrees Celsius in Shri Ganganagar, while the lowest minimum temperature was 31.4 degrees Celsius in Phalodi. Rainfall was recorded in Jaipur, Ajmer, Sikar, Dabok, Jodhpur, Phalodi, Bikaner, Dholpur, Mount Abu, Bharatpur, and other places on Saturday.
Jaipur Rainfall
Clouds had been hovering over Jaipur since morning, but the heat and humidity troubled the people. The weather changed in the evening and light to moderate rainfall was recorded in various parts of the city. The rainfall provided relief from the intense heat and humidity. However, there was an increase in both the day and night temperatures in Jaipur. Jaipur’s night temperature rose by more than two degrees. Jaipur’s maximum temperature was recorded at 34.2 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature at 29.4 degrees Celsius. Heavy rain was recorded in many places in Jaipur, including Sahkar Marg, Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura, Gopalpura, Chardivari, Mansarovar, Sirsi Road, and Khatipura.
Rain in Other Cities
Four inches of rain was recorded in two hours in Badi town of Dholpur district on Saturday morning. Due to the heavy rain, waterlogging occurred in the streets of many colonies of the city.
In Bikaner, KEM Road was submerged in water after heavy rain on Saturday afternoon. Two to two and a half feet of water was seen on the road during this time. Water entered the shops. Water has come in 15 dams that were dry after the monsoon. Due to the rain in Bhiwadi, Kheraithal-Tijara district on Saturday, three to four feet of water filled the bypass. The entire area around Parasnath Mall is filled with water.
More than a dozen animals died due to lightning strike in a house’s courtyard in Bayana, Bharatpur late at night. Lightning struck in Gali No. 5 of Hod Mohalla in Bajrang Colony, Badi town of Dholpur district. Three houses were damaged due to this and electrical equipment in many houses were damaged. The pillar of the water tank installed on the roof of a house also broke.
