Raipur, October 20 (Udaipur Kiran): While Diwali celebrations are in full swing across the country, rain clouds have cast a shadow over festivities in Chhattisgarh, including the state capital Raipur, where overcast skies were seen since Monday morning.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several parts of the state are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall today. The winter chill has also started setting in across Chhattisgarh, with temperatures in many districts dipping to around 15°C.
In the Surguja division, most districts recorded a noticeable drop in temperature, with fog and mist observed in the early hours. Meanwhile, Raipur, along with Mahasamund, Gariaband, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari, and Balod districts, witnessed cloudy skies from the morning, accompanied by a mild winter breeze.
The weather department has forecast that the cool conditions will intensify further in the coming days, as rainfall and cloud cover continue to influence the festive atmosphere on Diwali day.
