Rohtak Records Highest Temperature
Despite the upcoming rain forecast, Saturday brought no major change in overall maximum temperatures across Haryana. Rohtak remained the hottest city in the state, recording a scorching 45.3°C. The intense heat has kept most urban and rural areas under persistent heatwave-like conditions.
Karnal Sees Sharp Temperature Drop
A notable temperature drop was observed in Karnal, where the mercury fell by 3.8°C, bringing the maximum temperature down to 37.4°C. In contrast, Mewat experienced the sharpest temperature rise, jumping by 2.7°C in the past 24 hours, reaching a high of 43.7°C.
Rain Could Offer Temporary Relief
With IMD’s forecast suggesting thunderstorms and light showers in multiple regions over the next few days, residents may receive temporary relief from the heat. However, with temperatures remaining above normal in many parts, the risk of heat-related health issues continues.
Authorities advise residents to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure during peak afternoon hours, and follow weather updates regularly.
