Lucknow, May 2 (Udaipur Kiran): North Eastern Railway has announced diversion of several trains and changes in stoppages due to ongoing yard remodelling work at Jaunpur station on the Ayodhya Cantt–Akbarpur–Zafarabad section under the Lucknow division.

According to officials, pre-non interlocking and non-interlocking works are being carried out, leading to route changes and revised stoppages between May 4 and May 27, 2026.
Key Train Changes:
- Train 09065 Surat–Chhapra Special, running on May 4, 11, 18, and 25, will be diverted via Manikpur–Prayagraj Junction–Banaras–Varanasi Junction–Varanasi City–Aunrihar instead of the earlier route via Vindhyachal and Jaunpur. The train will not halt at Prayagraj Chheoki, Jaunpur, and Kerakat stations.
- Train 09066 Chhapra–Surat Special, running on May 13, 20, and 27, will operate via Aunrihar–Varanasi City–Varanasi Junction–Banaras–Prayagraj Junction–Manikpur. It will skip halts at Kerakat, Jaunpur, and Prayagraj Chheoki.
- Train 15231 Barauni–Gondia Express, running from May 13 to 27, will be diverted via Aunrihar–Varanasi City–Varanasi Junction–Banaras–Prayagraj Junction–Manikpur. It will not stop at Kerakat, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Vindhyachal, Prayagraj Chheoki, and Shankargarh.
- Train 15232 Gondia–Barauni Express, running from May 12 to 26, will be diverted via Manikpur–Prayagraj Junction–Banaras–Varanasi Junction–Varanasi City–Aunrihar. It will skip halts at Shankargarh, Prayagraj Chheoki, Vindhyachal, Mirzapur, Jaunpur, and Kerakat.
- Train 15115 Chhapra–Delhi Express, running on May 9, 16, and 23, will run via Phephna–Mau–Shahganj instead of the usual route. It will not stop at Yusufpur, Ghazipur City, Aunrihar, Kerakat, and Jaunpur.
- Train 15116 Delhi–Chhapra Express, running on May 3, 10, 17, and 24, will operate via Shahganj–Mau–Phephna. It will not halt at Jaunpur, Kerakat, Aunrihar, Ghazipur City, and Yusufpur stations.
Railway authorities have advised passengers to check updated schedules and routes before travelling.
