Udaipur, May 13 (Udaipur Kiran) — Mohanlal Sukhadia University has finally got a new Vice Chancellor, with Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde approving the appointment of Prof. Kailash Daga after discussions with the state government.

Following the official order issued by Raj Bhavan, Prof. Daga will now take charge of the university administration. The Governor also shared information regarding the appointment through social media.
The post of Vice Chancellor at MLSU had remained under discussion for a long time, with deliberations taking place between the search committee and the state government before finalising the appointment.
Sources said Prof. Daga’s experience and administrative approach were considered important factors in selecting him for the role.
His appointment comes at a time when the university is facing several academic and administrative challenges related to the ongoing educational session and institutional reforms.
The announcement had also generated considerable interest at the local level regarding who would lead the university.
Governor Bagde also announced the appointment of Prof. Madan Singh Rathore as the new Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Surajmal Brij University in Bharatpur.
