Police Solve Murder Case of 17-Year-Old in Seelampur

New Delhi, June 25: The police have successfully resolved the murder case of a 17-year-old boy in the Seelampur area of Delhi. Teams from the Seelampur police station and the Northeast district’s special staff apprehended two teenage suspects involved in the murder. They also recovered the knife and motorcycle used in the crime based on the suspects’ information.

According to Delhi police, a stabbing incident was reported on June 24 around 9 PM in Gali No. 4 of Gautampuri. Upon arrival, the police discovered that the injured boy had been taken to JPC Hospital by his cousin, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.

The deceased has been identified as Lucky Kumar, a resident of Gautampuri. Following the incident, the crime and forensic teams inspected the scene and collected crucial evidence. An FIR was registered under section 103(1) BNS at Seelampur police station, and an investigation was initiated. A team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Narpal Singh, which included Sub-Inspector Sudhanshu, Head Constable Navneesh, Head Constable Manish Faujdar, Constable Vipin, and Constable Sachin, operating under the supervision of ACP Seelampur, Malkeet Singh.

Additionally, a special staff team was formed under Inspector Arvind, comprising Sub-Inspector Kaushik Ghosh, ASI Amit Tyagi, ASI Amit Mann, Head Constable Monu Kumar, and Head Constable Amir, monitored by ACP Operations Satyendra Singh.

During the investigation, police teams gathered intelligence from various sources and conducted a thorough analysis of CCTV footage from nearby areas. Based on technical evidence and other clues, the suspects were identified, and raids were conducted at their possible locations. After persistent efforts, the police arrested the two teenage suspects, both aged approximately 15 to 16 years. They confessed to their involvement in the crime and revealed the identity of a third accomplice.

During interrogation, the suspects stated that a minor dispute with the victim escalated into violence, leading to a fatal attack on Lucky Kumar. The knife used in the murder and the motorcycle involved in the incident have been recovered based on the suspects’ information. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the third suspect, and further investigations are underway.
